Frequently Asked Questions
The Lieferando Awards are an annual celebration of the restaurants on our platform. We recognise our Makers of Greatness - our Partners, large and small - and reward the most outstanding businesses. Awards fall under three main categories:
Regional/City - best takeaway in your area
Cuisine - best takeaway for specific cuisines
Impact Awards – takeaway restaurants exceeding in other areas (e.g. sustainability)
Sign up by 29 September 2023 and complete the submission form on the Lieferando Awards website. This is an important chance for you to impress the judges and make the awards shortlist(s), so it's worth taking your time with your answers.
The shortlist for each country is chosen by a panel of independent judges. Their selection criteria includes the Restaurant Partner's submission form, customer satisfaction, and commercial factors.

By popular vote. Restaurants who receive the highest number of votes in their nominated category will be crowned the winner of that category.
Please note: All competing restaurants, excluding National and International Chains, will be automatically entered into the ‘Best Restaurant in Austria’ category. The winner of this category will be the restaurant with the most overall votes across all categories.
The winners will be announced in February 2024.
The shortlist for each category is selected based on a set criteria, including the Restaurant Partner's submission form, customer reviews, and commercial factors.
Regional Awards: awards assigned by city, area or region (it differs per country).
Cuisine Awards: awarded to outstanding takeaways, according to cuisine. Open to restaurants who think they have the best breakfast, lunch or vegan offering. Or those new to the delivery scene. Or restaurants who think they have [locations]'s favourite dish.
Impact Awards: awards assigned to restaurants that outperform others in terms of sustainability, innovation and other key areas.
Customers can vote from 13 November until 13 December.
Customers can only vote once per category.
When voting opens on 13 November, customers can simply select their favourite restaurant from the shortlist in each category and click 'vote'. Customers should enter their name and email address, then press 'submit'.
